LONGER BIOGRAPHY:  

True to the spirit of American Tribal Style, Samantha’s work combines technique gleaned from her studies with the creators of the genre in the USA with that of her own self taught background in the UK.  Elegant and classic, strong in carriage: Fusing Victorian and Tribal costume aesthetic, hip hop/modern dance movement strangeness, a respectful take on World Folk dances and professional versatility.

Starting her dance journey in 2005 thanks to Carolena Nericcio and Rachel Brice, she joined The Bellydance Superstars two years later, the first European to do so and has toured internationally full-time since 2007 also featuring on several BDSS DVDs. Japan, Brazil, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Mexico, Russia, Europe, China, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, Taiwan… She continues to crisscross the globe, both performing and instructing intensive workshops, solo and collaboratively with artists such as Zoe Jakes, Sharon Kihara, and Elizabeth Strong.

Her dedication to the art form and it’s power to connect people from all continents keep her on the move. Samantha is a committed instructor as well as performer and known for her accessible approach to teaching. Her fun, engaging performance style, makes audiences the world over smile.

Samantha is General Skills Certified and the first Tribal Fusion instructor to receive the new Fat Chance Belly Dance ® ATS General Studio Teacher Certification, Level One. She has also explored Theatre performance skills at The London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA)

Samantha is happily based in Devon (UK) with partner Oscar and hound Spindle.
